Ok let’s dive into this review, starting with the food: Tom yam soup with coconut milk ($7): yum! I’m coming back for more. The soup is stuffed with veggies, strong bold flavours, and generous with the salt, just how I like it, yummy! 100% satisfied. Pad Thai bananier style ($16): after the bold tasty flavours of the Tom yam soup, this dish came across a little bland. Having spent a lot of time in Thailand, I was craving that explosive zesty tasty flavour, so this dish was a bit of a let down. That being said, if your taste buds are a little on the mild side, you will enjoy this dish. They are very generous with their grilled chicken breast pieces, I was struggling to finish them, not to mention all the different veggies in there. I’ll be trying their curry dish next time Fresh mango sticky rice and coconut milk ($6.50): I really wanted to love, but it was just ok. I’ve had this dish in Thailand many times and it was always delicious. I think it’s lack of accessibility to the same ingredients that makes it different then the original mango sticky rice dish. The mangos in Thailand are sweet, juicy and strong in aroma. The mango here was ... well... North American lol! sadly I won’t be ordering it again. I came here few days after their opening and you can see they are off to a good start. The ambience and decor is classy and cozy. Great service, lots of staff around to make sure you are completely satisfied. All the portions are generous, lots of veggies and protein in your dish, my only suggestion for improvement would be to maintain that bold tasty flavour from the soup throughout all the dishes, I thought the pad Thai and sticky mango dish could have used a little extra kick. Keep up the good work guys, I hope you can maintain this consistency and quality long term. Two thumbs up!
